(a) Prior to the renaissance school project opening to serve students in its first year, the Department will conduct no fewer than two preparedness assessments on dates to be scheduled by the Department with the nonprofit entity.
1. Fifteen business days prior to any
preparedness assessment, the nonprofit entity shall provide the Department
documentation showing the status of the renaissance school project's
construction schedule and progress in complying with all applicable sections of
N.J.A.C. 6A:26.
2.
After the initial preparedness assessment, the Department may require the
nonprofit entity to submit a monthly action plan detailing the renaissance
school project's progress and/or direct the nonprofit entity to contract with a
third-party assessor to provide an estimate on a date of completion of the
school construction project.
3. At
any time after the initial preparedness assessment, the Department may direct
the renaissance school district to implement the district contingency plan if
the Department determines the renaissance school project is unable to open by
the beginning of the school year.
