(a) Each facility receiving funds from the Department shall adopt a written conflict of interest policy, as required by the facility's contract with the Department.
1. The facility shall ensure that a copy of the
adopted policy, with its effective date, is forwarded to all governing board members
and staff members and is posted in a prominent location or kept on file at the
facility.
2. The governing board shall
ensure that the conflict of interest policy is adhered to by the facility director
through the governing board's review of the facility's policies involving the
purchasing of goods or services and hiring practices.
(b) Each facility receiving funds from the Department shall comply with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws.
