Section 3A:53-1.3 - Population served by shelter facilities and shelter homes

(a) A shelter facility or shelter home provides care for children who are:
1. Abused;
2. Abandoned;
3. Dependent;
4. Neglected;
5. In need of temporary emergency care;
6. Runaways or otherwise in need of temporary
care; and/or
7. Charged as a juvenile
delinquent, pursuant to State law, and who would not be a threat to the physical,
social, or emotional well-being of the other children at the shelter facility or
shelter home.
