Section 2:76-18.4 - Duties of certified agricultural mediators

(a) Mediation is a voluntary process for settlement negotiation. In performing his or her duties, an agricultural mediator shall:
1. Act as a third
party and not represent any disputant;
2. Not give legal advice in any capacity relating
to or in the rendering of services;
3.
Not have the power or the authority to compel or enforce settlements;
4. Not have conflicts of interest with respect to
matters to be mediated or parties involved in mediation;
5. Not have subpoena power; and
6. Comply with this section.
