Section 17:9-5.9 - Health Contribution for active employee State Health Benefit Coverage

(a) Pursuant to P.L. 2007, c. 103 and P.L. 2011, c. 78 (52:14-17.28c ), a health contribution that is determined as a specific percentage of the cost of health care coverage for each salary range and coverage level specified in 52:14-17.28c , shall be deducted from each covered State employee's base salary. The health contribution that is deducted may not be less than 1.5 percent of base salary.

(b) For purposes of this section, base salary means an employee's annual base salary, not including any bonuses, overtime, or longevity payment.
