Any person who is charged with a violation of the provisions of the Act or this chapter and who fails to appear at any scheduled court proceeding after written notice has been given to said person pursuant to the Rules Governing the Courts of the State of New Jersey, may have his or her driving privileges suspended to the extent prescribed by 2B:12-31.
