NOTE:
Chapter 53E, Fixed Guideway Systems State Safety Oversight, was
adopted as R.2000 d.184, effective May 1, 2000. See: 32 N.J.R. 678(a), 32 N.J.R.

Chapter 53E, Fixed Guideway Systems State Safety Oversight,
was readopted as R.2005 d.316, effective August 24, 2005. See: 37 N.J.R. 1926(a), 37
N.J.R. 3719(b).
Chapter 53E, Fixed Guideway Systems State Safety
Oversight, was readopted as R.2011 d.089, effective February 11, 2011. As a part of
R.2011 d.089, Chapter 53E, Fixed Guideway Systems State Safety Oversight, was
renamed Fixed Guideway Systems State Safety and Security Oversight; Subchapter 1,
General Requirements, was renamed Purpose, Application and Scope; Subchapter 2,
Adoption and Incorporation by Reference of Federal Transit Administration Rail Fixed
Guideway Systems State Safety Oversight Regulations and Standards, was recodified to
N.J.A.C.
16:53E-1.3, and Subchapter 2, Definitions, was
adopted as new rules; and Subchapters 3 through 14 were adopted as new rules,
effective March 21, 2011. See: 42 N.J.R. 2374(a), 43 N.J.R. 739(a).
In
accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:14B-5.1b, Chapter 53E, Fixed Guideway Systems State
Safety and Security Oversight, was scheduled to expire on February 11, 2018. See: 43
N.J.R. 1203(a).
In accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:14B-5.1.d(2), the
expiration date of Chapter 53E, Fixed Guideway Systems State Safety and Security
Oversight, was extended by gubernatorial directive from February 11, 2018 to August
31, 2018. See: 50 N.J.R. 987(d).
Chapter 53E, Fixed Guideway Systems
State Safety Oversight, was repealed and Chapter 53E, Fixed Guideway State Safety
Oversight, was adopted as new rules by R.2018 d.125, effective June 4, 2018. See:
