Failure to provide satisfactory evidence of appropriate insurance, as described in N.J.A.C. 16:53A-4.1 and 4.2, when a bus is operated on public highways or in public places in this State, shall result in that vehicle being immediately placed out-of-service and held or impounded by authorized representatives of the Commission or by law enforcement authorities. The vehicle shall be held or impounded until evidence of appropriate insurance for that vehicle is on file with the Commission or the bus owner or operator otherwise meets applicable statutes or regulations.
