Section 16:53-3.13 - Interior lights

(a) An interior lighting system shall be provided having a total luminous intensity of not less than five rated candlepower per seated passenger and receptacles located so as to provide a reasonably uniform diffusion of light within the passenger compartment. The lamps shall be located or shielded so as to prevent direct rays of light from striking the windshield.

(b) At least one step light shall be provided at each service door. All interior steps shall be illuminated.

(c) All instrument panel, warning, and signaling lights shall operate as designed by the manufacturer.
