Section 16:51-2.6 - Withdrawal of petition or dismissal of proceeding

(a) A petition may be withdrawn without order of the Division by filing a notice of withdrawal at any stage of the proceedings prior to the issuance of the Divisions decision on the petition or other final disposition of the proceeding. A proceeding may also be terminated on the approval of the Division by filing a stipulation signed by all parties who have appeared in the proceeding prior to the entry of the Divisions decision or order disposing of the proceeding.
(b) The Division may on its own motion, or upon motion of any party to a proceeding, dismiss the proceeding for good cause shown.
