(a) An uncut duplicate roll of silver halide film shall be created or preserved for storage as a master negative for all public records stored and used on microfiche, unless previous approval has been granted by the Chief of the Bureau of Micrographics and Alternate Records Storage or the Supervisor of Micrographics and Imaging Services.

(b) Pursuant to 15:3-3.6(b)14 vi(5), when film is to be cut for jackets or aperture cards, the original roll may be used, provided an uncut duplicate roll of silver halide film has been prepared previously for storage as a master negative.

(c) For microfiche, indices shall be placed in the last frames of the last microfiche or microfilm jacket of a series pursuant to 15:3-3.6(b)2 i(2).
