Section 13:95-19.7 - Correspondence to or from other juveniles and inmates of adult correctional facilities

(a) Correspondence to juveniles from inmates of adult correctional facilities may be read to ensure that the correspondence does not contain any content prohibited by 13:95-19.24. Mail between juveniles may not be read except as provided for 13:95-19.8(a).

(b) The superintendent or designee shall be authorized to limit correspondence to or from other juveniles and inmates of adult correctional facilities, for purposes of ensuring the safe, secure and orderly operation of the secure facility or operational unit.
