Section 13:81-6.2 - Prohibition against disclosure

(a) No persons shall obtain DNA information from the DNA database or the DNA databank without authorization to do so.
(b) Any person who, by virtue of employment, or official position, has possession of, or access to, individually identifiable DNA information contained in the State DNA database or databank shall securely maintain the confidentiality of this information and shall not disclose it in any manner to any person or agency not entitled to receive it pursuant to law. Any such person who purposely discloses this information contrary to the provisions of this subsection is guilty of an offense as provided in 53:1-20.2 6 or other applicable provisions of law.
