Section 13:55A-5.3 - Completion of an approved security officer instructor training course

(a) A person seeking to become a certified security officer instructor must complete a 40 hour course of instruction entitled "Security Officer Instructor Training Course," which is approved by, and administered in a manner prescribed by, the Superintendent.
(b) The Security Officer Instructor Training Course shall assure that persons seeking to become certified security officer instructors are knowledgeable in the general subject areas of instruction required by security officers under 13:55A-4.1(b) and are competent to impart that knowledge to security officers.
