Section 13:44D-2.6 - Place of business

(a) A licensee shall maintain a permanent bona fide place of business in the State of New Jersey wherein:
1. All original business records and forms
related to a licensee's business dealings shall be kept; and
2. A representative shall be present and
authorized to act on behalf of the licensee and to accept or process necessary
documents. The representative shall be present and available for a minimum of
20 hours per week between the hours of 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M.
(b) A licensee shall conspicuously post a notice on the premises of his or her permanent place of business that includes:
1. The telephone number of a
representative available to handle consumer inquiries for a minimum of 20 hours
per week; and
2. The schedule of a
minimum of 20 hours per week when a representative will be present and
available at the place of business.
(c) A post office box or a maildrop location shall not constitute a permanent place of business for the purposes of this chapter.
(d) For the purpose of this section, "conspicuously post" shall mean a placement location that will permit the average consumer to read the notice required in this section without having to enter the premises of the licensee's place of business.
