Section 13:34-11.7 - Payment of licensing fee; abandonment of application

(a) An applicant for licensure shall submit the licensing fee set forth in N.J.A.C. 13:34-17.1 upon receipt of notification from the Committee that his or her application for licensure has been approved.
(b) An application shall be deemed abandoned and closed if:
1. The application has not been completed by the applicant within 12 months
after it was received by the Committee;
2. The applicant fails to
sit for or pass the National Counselor Examination, or its successor, within 12 months or any 12-month period
thereafter upon written notification of eligibility to take the examination; or
3. The applicant fails to submit the licensing fee within six months
following the date of notification from the Committee that his or her application for licensure has been
approved.
(c) An application submitted subsequent to the abandonment of a prior application shall be treated as a new application and shall comply with all application requirements in this subchapter.
