Section 13:24-2.7 - Permit cancellation or revocation

(a) Permits issued pursuant to this subchapter shall remain valid for a period of two years, unless cancelled or revoked, and shall be nontransferable.
(b) Permits issued pursuant to this subchapter shall automatically and immediately be deemed cancelled upon expiration or termination, for any reason, of the term of office or contract which entitled the holder to a permit.
(c) The Chief Administrator may revoke a permit issued pursuant to this subchapter for the following reasons, or for any other reasonable grounds:
(d) Cancelled or revoked permits for red emergency lights and sirens shall be surrendered to the Commission by the permit holder within 10 days of the cancellation or revocation.
(e) A permit holder may object to cancellation or revocation by requesting a hearing. A request for a hearing shall be in writing and shall be received by the Chief Administrator within 25 days of the date of the notice of cancellation or revocation. A request for a hearing shall indicate all the reasons for the permit holder's objection to cancellation or revocation. The Chief Administrator shall determine whether to grant a hearing in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act, 52:14B-1 et seq.
