Section 13:20-45.23 - Registration restoration

(a) A fee as set forth in 39:3-10a shall be payable to the Motor Vehicle Commission for the restoration of a motor vehicle emission repair facility registration which is suspended or revoked pursuant to 39:8-1 et seq. or this subchapter. Such registration restoration fee shall be paid to the Motor Vehicle Commission before the registration may be restored.

(b) Each suspension or revocation of any motor vehicle emission repair facility registration, pursuant to 39:8-1 et seq. or any regulation adopted thereunder, shall continue in force and effect until such registration is restored by the Chief Administrator.

(c) In the case of every suspension or revocation of a motor vehicle emission repair facility registration for a fixed period of time, the registrant, as a condition precedent to restoration, shall make application to the Chief Administrator, in such form as the Chief Administrator may determine, and pay the registration restoration fee specified in (a) above. The Chief Administrator may, upon notice and an opportunity to be heard, deny any application for restoration of a motor vehicle emission repair facility registration for good cause.
