Section 13:18-6.7 - Removal of vehicle from United States and Canada; proof thereof

(a) For purposes of section 50c(2) of the FAIR Act (N.J.S.A. 17:33B-41c(2)), the statement to be filed with the Chief Administrator by a vehicle owner prior to the date of cancellation of motor vehicle insurance coverage for a vehicle which has been or will be removed from the United States in North America and the Dominion of Canada for the purpose of international traffic shall include the following proof that said vehicle has been or will be so removed:
1. A shipping document
issued to the vehicle owner by the United States Customs Service prior to the date
of motor vehicle insurance coverage cancellation for the vehicle which indicates
that the vehicle has been or will be removed from the United States in North America
and the Dominion of Canada;
2. A bill of
lading and receipt issued to the vehicle owner by the common carrier transporting
the vehicle which confirms that said vehicle has been or will be removed from the
United States in North America and the Dominion of Canada; or
3. Any other similar proof deemed acceptable by
the Chief Administrator.
