Section 12:17-5.2 - Alternative base years

(a) If an individual does not qualify for benefits pursuant to 12:17-5.1 during the base year, he or she may use wages paid during an alternative base year consisting of the most recent four completed calendar quarters preceding the date of the claim.

(b) If the individual does not qualify for benefits using wages paid in the alternative base year provided in (a) above, he or she may use wages paid during the current calendar quarter up to the date of the claim and the three previous completed calendar quarters.
