Section 12:121-3.1 - Establishment of the Crane Operators License Advisory Board

(a) A Crane Operators License Advisory Board shall be established within the Department of Labor and Workforce Development consisting of seven members who are residents of the State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The Commissioner or his
or her designee, as the chairperson, serving ex-officio and representing the
Department of Labor and Workforce Development;
2. One heavy highway, utility, or transportation
construction contractor representative;
3. A building contractor representative;
and
4. Four licensed crane operators who
have been actively engaged in crane operations in this State for at least five years
immediately preceding their appointment.
(b) The Governor shall appoint each Board member for a term of three years. Each member shall hold office until his or her successor has been qualified. Any vacancy in the membership of the Board shall be filled for the unexpired term in the manner provided for the original appointment.
(c) No member of the Board may serve more than two successive terms, in addition to any unexpired term to which he or she was appointed.
