Section 11:4-56.7 - Notice of change in documents of self-funded MEWAs

A registered self-funded MEWA shall not modify any information or document furnished pursuant to this subchapter unless the MEWA files with the Commissioner a notice of the change or modification, together with any additional information to explain the change or modification, at least 60 days prior to the use or adoption of the change. If the Commissioner fails to affirmatively approve or disapprove the change or modification within 60 days of receipt of the notice, the notice of modification shall be deemed approved. The Commissioner may extend the 60-day review period for not more than 30 additional days by providing the MEWA with written notice of the extension before the expiration of the 60-day period. If a change or modification is disapproved, the Commissioner shall notify the MEWA in writing, and specify the reason for the disapproval.
