Section 11:22-8.1 - Purpose and scope

(a) The purpose of this subchapter is to establish standards and criteria regarding information contained on health insurance identification cards issued by carriers authorized to issue health benefit plans in this State.
(b) This subchapter shall apply to all insurance companies, health service corporations, hospital service corporations, medical service corporations and health maintenance organizations authorized to issue health benefit plans in this State and to all third party administrators licensed or registered in this State. The subchapter shall not apply to Medicaid and NJ FamilyCare coverage.
