Section 10:79-8.2 - Period of presumptive eligibility

(a) The period of presumptive eligibility shall begin on the date an approved presumptive eligibility entity determines that, based on information provided by the family of the presumptively eligible beneficiary, the child meets the requirements and standards of this chapter.
(b) The period of presumptive eligibility shall terminate:
1. On the last day of the month in which a
determination of eligibility or ineligibility for NJ FamilyCare-Children's
Program is made; or
2. If the
child, or the child's parent, guardian, caretaker, or authorized agent fails to
cooperate in the application process with the eligibility determination agency,
on the last day of the month subsequent to the month in which the child was
determined presumptively eligible.
