(a) The facility shall promote a pleasant and home-like environment in the dining room. Dining room accommodations within living units shall be separated from other areas.
1. Dining rooms shall be equipped with
tables, chairs, eating utensils and dishes designed to meet the developmental
needs of each individual.
i. Equipment for
special training and feeding requirements shall be available and
used.
2. The facility
shall provide staff and supervision in the dining rooms to promote self-help
training and assure each individual receives their prescribed diet and eats in
a manner consistent with his or her own developmental level.
