Section 10:47-7.10 - Social services

(a) The facility shall provide social services to all individuals served and, to their families, as appropriate.
(b) Social services shall include, but shall not be limited to:
1. The coordination of all admissions and
discharges between agencies, individuals and families;
2. Contact with the family and/or guardian
regarding the individual's IHP, health status or other pertinent
information;
3. Individual and
group counselling for individuals who can benefit, as documented in the
IHP;
4. Participation in the IDT
process; and
5. Writing clinical
and/or progress notes periodically, which notes shall include:
i. Progress in any therapy or
counselling;
ii. Any family
contacts; and
iii. Any information
relating to the admission or discharge of the individual.
