(a) A motor vehicle used for transporting display fireworks shall be inspected daily by the driver prior to operation to determine whether the vehicle is in proper condition for safe transportation of explosive material.
(b) The following shall be inspected:
(1) The fire extinguisher, which shall be
filled and ready for immediate use;
(2) All visible electrical wiring underneath
the dashboard, the vehicle, or the hood of the vehicle, which shall be
protected and securely fastened to prevent short-circuiting;
(3) The chassis, motor, pan, and underside of
body, which shall be reasonably clean and free of excess oil and
grease;
(4) Fuel tank and feed
line;
(5) Brakes, lights, horn,
windshield wipers, and steering apparatus; and
(6) Tires, which shall be properly inflated
and free of defects.
