(a) Any resident of this state who intends to purchase a vehicle in another state or from another person or who is unable to register a vehicle because of limited hours of operation of the town clerk in the town where the person resides may apply to the division or its substation or authorized agent nearest his or her residence for a registration to drive said vehicle on the ways of the state in an unregistered condition.
(b) Twenty day temporary plates shall be issued to vehicles registered pursuant to RSA 261:57.
(c) Temporary plates shall:
(1) Have the letters "NH" and
"TEMP";
(2) Have 6 numerals;
and
(3) Reflect the date of
expiration.
