Section Saf-C 408.15 - Procedure for Designating Mooring Areas and Mooring Fields

(a) Mooring fields shall be established following an application for a mooring field permit.
(b) In addition to RSA 270:67 and 270:68, the following factors shall be applied in determining whether a location might be suitable for a mooring area or mooring field:
(1) Adequate
water depth;
(2) Adequate support
facilities, including but not limited to:
a.
Access to a public highway;
b.
Access to a mooring field or area;
c. Whether dinghy docking is
available;
d. Availability of water
taxi service;
e. Public restroom
facilities;
f. Sanitary waste
disposal facilities;
g. Holding
tank pumping out facilities; and
h.
Number of available parking spaces;
(3) Whether a mooring area or mooring field
might present an unreasonable adverse effect on the environment, including:
a. Water quality;
b. Wildlife habitats; or
c. Natural areas; and
(4) Whether a mooring area or mooring field,
in a particular location, shall unreasonably interfere with recreational uses
of the water adjacent to the land.
