(a) All driver education vehicles shall have:

(1) Dual-control brake pedals; and

(2) If a manual transmission, dual-control clutch pedals.

(b) The brake mechanism on the passenger side shall be hydraulically or mechanically attached to the braking system of the vehicle to allow the instructor to bring the vehicle to a stop. For CDL instructional vehicles, if a trolley brake is used, the mechanism shall be fully secured to the top of the dashboard on the passenger side of the vehicle.

(c) The requirements of (a)(2) above shall not apply to approved CDL drivers' schools pursuant to Saf-C 3117.
