Any applicant who has been treated for mental illness, as defined by RSA 135-C:2, X, or emotional disorder or confined in an institution shall be required to obtain a written statement from the individual's licensed health care practitioner that the individual is able to perform the duties and responsibilities of a private investigator, security guard, or bail recovery agent, whichever is the applicable license the individual is applying for.
