Section Saf-C 217.02 - Non-renewal Upon Report

(a) On receipt of a report from the commissioner of the department of transportation or his designee, indicating that the owner of a vehicle has evaded tolls or charges in violation of RSA 236:31, the director of motor vehicles shall forward a notice ofnon-renewalto such owner by first class mail.

(b) The report in (a) above shall be submitted on official letterhead and include the following:

(1) The unique identification number corresponding to the name and plate associated with a violation; and

(2) The identity of the owner of the vehicle that has evaded tolls or charges.

(c) The effective date of such non-renewal shall be 30 days subsequent to its issuance.

(d) The notice of non-renewal shall include:

(1) The reasons for the non-renewal order;

(2) The effective date of the non-renewal and the authority therefor;

(3) The administrative fine assessed;

(4) A statement indicating that the owner may request an administrative hearing no later than 30 days from the date of the notice; and

(5) Motor vehicle registration number.
