(a) A type 3 magazine shall be fire-resistant, weather-resistant and theft-resistant. It shall be constructed of not less than 12 guage steel, lined with at least 1/2 inch plywood or 1/2 inch masonite-type hardboard.

(b) Doors shall overlap sides by at least one inch. Hinges and hasps shall be attached by welding, riveting or bolting with the nuts on the inside.

(c) One steel padlock, which need not be protected by a steel hood, having at least 5 tumblers and a case-hardened shackle of at least 7/16 diameter, shall be sufficient for locking purposes.

(d) Explosive materials shall not be left unattended in type 3 magazines and shall be removed to a magazine approved for unattended storage.
