"Fire alarm system" means those assemblies of wiring for installations such as electronic transmitting devices, detection devices, control panels and related equipment for the detection of products of combustion or flammable gases and for alerting occupants, including fire department personnel, of a fire emergency. The term does not include installations for heating, lighting or power purposes as defined in RSA 319-C:2, III.
