Section Ret 202.04 - Service of Documents

(a) All petitions, motions, exhibits, memoranda, or other documents filed by any party to a proceeding governed by this chapter shall be served by that party upon all other parties to the proceeding. All notices, orders, decisions, or other documents issued by the presiding officer or the board of trustees pursuant to this chapter shall be served upon all other parties to the proceeding.
(b) Service of all documents relating to a proceeding governed by this chapter shall be made by email, fax, personal delivery, or by depositing a copy of the document, with first class postage prepaid, in the United States mail, addressed first to the party's legal representative or, if there is no legal representative, then directly to the party served at the last address given to the retirement system by that party. Where no address has been given, service shall be made by United States mail at the party's last known abode or last known business address according to retirement system records. Each representative or party shall notify the retirement system of any changes of address. Where a party has appeared by a representative, service upon the representative shall constitute service upon the party.
