Section Phy 402.06 - Jurisprudence Examination

Each individual licensed as a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant shall take and pass a jurisprudence examination as described below:

(a) The jurisprudence examination shall be taken each April, May, or June of years ending in "0" and "5";

(b) Each individual licensed as a physical therapist shall be examined on the contents of RSA 328-A Physical Therapy Practice Act, Phy 100 through 500, and the APTA Code of Ethics for the Physical Therapist;

(c) Each individual licensed as a physical therapist assistant shall be examined on the contents of RSA 328-A Physical Therapy Practice Act, Phy 100 through 500, and the APTA Standards of Ethical Conduct for the Physical Therapist Assistant;

(d) The jurisprudence exam shall be developed and administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy and the results sent directly to the board;

(e) The jurisprudence examination shall be open book and available on a secure web site; and

(f) An individual shall achieve a passing score of at least 80 percent.
