(a) Unless otherwise specified in this chapter, pharmacy board inspections shall be conducted at a minimum:
(1) Annually for:
a. Retail pharmacies;
b. Institutional pharmacies;
c. Compounding pharmacies;
d. Public health clinics; and
e. Methadone clinics.;
(2) Every 3 years for:
a. Veterinarians and veterinary clinics
without controlled substances;
b.
Drug manufacturers;
c. Drug
wholesalers;
d. Limited retail drug
distributors; and
e. Naturopaths
without controlled substances.
(3) Every 5 years for:
a. Practitioners in private practice without
controlled substances; and
b.
Medical and hospital clinic-based practitioner without controlled
substances.
(b) The following entities possessing controlled substances shall be inspected at a minimum every 2 years;
(1) Practitioners in private
practice;
(2) Clinic-based
practitioners;
(3) Veterinarians or
veterinary clinics; and
(4)
Naturopaths.
