"Eligible prescription drug " (EPD) means any unused prescription only drug that has not reached its expiration date, is contained in an unopened unit dose or other tamper evident packaging, has not been in the possession of the patient and has been stored properly and is not a radiopharmaceutical therapeutic or diagnostic drug. Drugs that can only be dispensed to a patient registered with the drug's manufacturer in accordance with federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirements are not eligible for the program.
