Section He-W 602.05 - 60-Month Lifetime Limit on Financial Assistance

(a) Unless the assistance group meets one or more of the hardship criteria described in He-W 602.07 or He-W 602.08, financial assistance benefits shall not be available to an assistance group that includes an adult who has received financial assistance for more than 60 months from any combination of the following programs:
(b) The counting of the 60 months described in (a) (1) above shall commence October 1, 1996.
(c) For the purpose of counting the 60 months:
(d) In determining the number of months for which an individual has received TANF, UP, IDP, or FWOC financial assistance, any payment period for which such assistance was provided to the individual shall be disregarded if the individual was:
(e) The total number of extensions to NHEP or FAP financial assistance granted by the department due to hardship, as specified in He-W 602.07 or He-W 602.08, shall not, at any point in time, exceed 20 percent of the average monthly number of families receiving TANF assistance during the current or immediately preceding federal fiscal year pursuant to 45 CFR 264.1(c) and (d) .
