Section He-P 4036.01 - Purpose

The purpose of this rule is to set forth the requirements for issuance of a license authorizing the use of sealed sources containing radioactive materials in irradiators used to irradiate objects or materials using gamma radiation, and the radiation safety requirements for operating irradiators. The requirements of this section are in addition to, and not in substitution for, the requirements of Parts He-P 4003, 4019, 4020, 4021, 4022, 4023, 4024, 4030, and 4038 of this chapter.
