(a) A licensee shall dispose of radioactive material only:
(1) By transfer to an authorized recipient as
provided in He-P 4023.06 or in He-P 4030 or
to the U.S. Department of Energy;
(2) By decay in storage;
(3) By release in effluents within the limits
in He-P
4020.14; or
(4) As authorized pursuant to
He-P
4023.02,
He-P
4023.03,
He-P
4023.04,
He-P
4023.05, or
He-P
4023.08.
(b) A person shall have a specific license to receive waste containing licensed material from other persons for:
(1) Treatment prior to disposal;
(2) Treatment or disposal by
incineration;
(3) Decay in
storage;
(4) Disposal at a land
disposal facility licensed pursuant to He-P 4062; or
(5) Storage until transferred to a storage or
disposal facility authorized to receive the waste.
