Section He-C 6450.01 - Purpose
The experiential/wilderness facility licensing requirements are designed to promote a family-centered approach in which services needed to help children and families are provided. The licensing requirements emphasize treating the whole family, strengthening the family system and the positive family relationships and active involvement in the care of children. To support families, this process is implemented through a team approach in which the provider, staff of the division for children, youth, and families (DCYF), service providers, and family members develop a comprehensive plan to accelerate reunification of the children with their families.
