(a) Documentation pertaining to the required continuing education shall be submitted no later than May 31st of the odd numbered years for audiologists and every year for hearing aid dealers.

(b) Continuing education hours in excess of the minimum required 20 hours for audiologists may be applied to the following biennial requirement up to a maximum of 10 additional hours. The board shall notify the licensee of any excess continuing education credits earned.

(c) Continuing education hours in excess of the minimum 8 hours for hearing aid dealers may be applied to the following annual requirement up to a maximum of 8 additional hours. The board shall notify the registrant of any excess continuing education credits earned.

(d) Notwithstanding the preceding requirements, no person who was initially licensed or registered in the biennium prior to renewal shall be required to attend continuing education programs as a condition for renewing the initial license or registration.
