Section Fis 1507.01 - Snowmobile Decal Placement

(a) Pursuant to RSA 215-C: 36, V and IX, no person shall operate a snowmobile unless the registration decals are attached, by the registrant, to the vehicle as follows:

(1) Decals shall be placed on each side of the snowmobile cowling or on the outside of the windshield;

(2) Decals shall be placed so that both are clearly visible and not obstructed; and

(3) The lower edge of each decal shall be parallel with the ground.

(b) No person shall place an altered registration decal on a vehicle.

(c) No person shall affix or permit to be affixed to a snowmobile a registration decal or plate that has been assigned by the department, or the registration authority of another jurisdiction, to another snowmobile.
