(a) The holder of an annual rental agent license shall return all rental registration decals and registration certificates to the department within 3 days of the occurrence of any of the following events:
(1) The
rental agent ceases to conduct business under the name shown on the
license;
(2) The rental agent
transfers ownership of his or her business to another person or entity;
or
(3) The rental agent is notified
by the department of the suspension or revocation of the annual rental agent
license.
(b) In the event the rental registration decals are not returned in a timely manner, the matter shall be referred to law enforcement for further action.
