Section Fis 1103.03 - Permit to Trap

(a) No licensed trapper shall trap furbearing animals, including beaver and otter by snare, on lands, other than their own, before obtaining written permission to do so, from the landowner or occupant of the land where traps will be set, on a "Permit to Trap" form, Rev 5/05.

(b) A blank "Permit to Trap" form, Rev 5/05 shall be obtained from department headquarters, a conservation officer, or downloaded from the department's website at trapping-permit.pdf (nh.gov). One copy of the permit shall be returned to a conservation officer when completed.

(c) A permit to trap on state managed lands shall be issued pursuant to Fis 303.13.

(d) A permit to trap shall be valid for one licensed trapper only and shall have only one licensed trapper's name entered on the permit.

(e) All written permissions for trapping on lands other than the licensed trapper's own land or state managed lands shall expire June 30th following the date of issuance.
