Section Fis 1103.01 - Trapping Licenses

(a) An applicant for any of the following trapping license types shall complete and submit an "Application for Trapping License" form, Rev 01/23, available at trapping-license.pdf (nh.gov), pursuant to Table 1100.08 below, together with the required fee determined in accordance with Fis 1110.01 and Fis 1110.02:

(b) Every applicant shall also provide a copy of his or her current state issued motor vehicle driver license or state issued non-driver photo identification card which shall be used to determine if the applicant qualifies for status as a resident of New Hampshire pursuant to RSA 214:11-a.
(c) Pursuant to RSA 210:25 and RSA 214:11-b, every applicant for a trapping license shall also present written proof of completion of a trapper education course from this or any other state or Canadian province, or a previously held trapping license issued by this or any other state or Canadian province, issued within the previous 3 years, in accordance with Fis 1109.13.
(d) All types of trapping licenses shall be effective between July 1 of the year of issue and June 30 of the subsequent year.
(e) No existing trapping license shall be renewed before June 1 of the current year or until a report of furs and skins taken required by Fis 303.08 has been filed by the licensed trapper.
(f) The applicant shall only obtain the license in person or by mail from the department at 11 Hazen Drive, Concord, NH 03301. If submitted to the department by mail, the applicant shall also enclose a business sized, stamped, self-addressed envelope to allow return of the license document by mail.
