Section Fam 404.08 - Method of Board Approval of Continuing Education Courses

(a) The board shall approve a continuing education course:
(1) When the course complies
with the approval requirements stated in
Fam
404.02 and, as applicable, in
Fam
404.03 through
Fam
404.07; and
(2) When application for approval is made,
before or after the presentation of the course:
a. By:
1. A
mediator seeking or intending to seek renewal of certification; or
2. The course provider or sponsor;
and
b. In accordance with
Fam 404.09.
(b) The board's approval of a course shall apply:
(1) To the presentation on the date stated in
the application; and
(2) To
additional presentations of the same course during the 24 months following the
board's approval.
(c) The board shall approve courses as hybrid courses that satisfy the requirements for 2 of the required topics in Fam 404.01(a) and (b). Mediators attending such courses shall designate as part of their renewal which of the approved topics that course shall count towards satisfying.
