Section Env-Ws 379.17 - Wellhead Protection Area Refinement

(a) The estimated wellhead protection area presented in the preliminary report shall be refined by the method described in the preliminary report unless department approval to alter the methodology is obtained.
(b) Approval to alter the method of wellhead protection area refinement shall be approved by the department if the method used results in a wellhead protection area that is technically equal to or better than the wellhead protection area that the original method would have produced.
(c) The refinement performed shall be documented in the final report.
