"Fire-resistive coating" means an opaque coating formulated and labeled to protect structural integrity by increasing the fire endurance of the interior or exterior structural materials to which it is applied, including but not limited to steel, that has been fire-tested and rated by an independent third party in accordance with the ASTM test method required by the state building code, currently E119, and approved by state building code officials for use in New Hampshire to bring assemblies of structural materials into compliance with state building code requirements.
